Need something to do this weekend? If you’ve never visited the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge this is the time.
To commemorate our 60th anniversary, AMSE will turn back the clock on prices and admission into the museum will be 25 cents for all visitors from Thursday, March 19 – Saturday, March 21, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

My sister and I took our kids (both age 3, 1 boy 1 girl) last month. There was a lot there they weren't quite ready for but they still had a great time. The hands on exhibits and the generator show were both big hits and the new Crime Lab exhibit was interesting, if a bit too old and focused for them. They still had fun examining the “evidence”, measuring and comparing footprints, etc.
Kids 5 and under are free so we will definitely be going back and learning new things as they get older.
