New High Value $5 off 4 Kellogg’s Cereal Coupon

2 December 2009 736 views View Comments

kelloggsTarget just released a GREAT new coupon: Save $5 when you purchase any FOUR (4) boxes of Kellogg’s Cereal! That’s $1.25 off per box. It is a manufacturer coupon, so you can use it at any store that accepts manufacturer coupons-not just Target.

This coupon has perfect timing for Kroger’s 50% off Kellogg’s cereal tomorrow. (I think the sale is on Friday in some areas so check your local ad.) That means 50% off then $1.25 per box off with coupons. That will make for some really inexpensive cereal. Time to stock up!

I got a better deal in Nov at Target, when they had buy 3 get one free, you had your target $1 off use times 4, then $1.50 off two kellogs from kellogs.com use x2, which made it about .25 a box i figured out :P but I need to stock up some more now.

    Tracy,

I bought 4 boxes this morning. two were $1.49 and two at $1.59 after the sale. Then I used the $5 off 4 coupon. That made them $0.29/box. So I would definitely stock up some more!

The $5 coupon did not work for me this morning. The manager said the coupon was good only at Target. I challenged that saying that it is a manufacturer's coupon and it does not say on the coupon that it is redemable only at Target. It didn't help and I didn't have time to argue being late for work. I am going back to Kroger after work. Did anybody else have problems using the $5 coupon?

Kroger will not take that coupon.

Kroger would not take the coupon. Does Kroger have a written coupon policy?

I used it this morning at the Kroger on Broadway. It beeped at first, then the cashier tried the $1 off 2 Coffee Mate coupon that also had the Target logo on it and it went through fine. She asked a manager about the $5 coupon and she said it was just b/c it was so high value. The manager turned a key and it went through fine!

    Jeanie-
this is all I can find so far as far as a written coupon policy. http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Partners/Kro...
I am planning to email and ask about an overall policy during nap time. :0)

    Hey Katie,
I just got off the phone with Kroger, and I spoke to the Maryville location next to Target, and they said as long as it does not say redeemable only at Target they are going to start accepting them. So I hope that this helps you, sorry for any confusion, it just really alarmed me cause the man that I spoke to earlier this morning in the store was a very experienced cashier. I have made him aware of the situation though and he said that he would start taking them now…so we'll see. I'm sure it's going to be just like everything else, it just depends on who you deal with.

thanks for all your work and sharing with all of us!

Kroger emailed their coupon policy, but it really didn't answer any questions about that coupon. I'm not really bothered that they didn't take the coupon, but i wish the stores would all follow the same policy. I like shopping at Kroger, but it can sometimes be frustrating.

The cashier I saw this morning refused to even try to scan the coupon. When I made a stink, the manager at Customer Service scanned it fine and put $5 back on my card.

The Kroger Marketplace in Farragut refused to take my $5 off coupon. The cashier rudely said “we've already been through this once today”. Huh? Seriously? For some reason he was expecting me to know that he had the same conversation with another customer just hours earlier. I was running late to pick up my son from school and didn't have time to talk to the manager, but the cashier said that they couldn't accept it because it is just for Target. I was so irritated.

I also had a hassle with this coupon. The Kroger on Northshore would not take it. She said because it has the Target logo on it, when they submit it they will not get reimbursed for it. I told her it's not a Target coupon and she said she knows that but they still can't take it. If any of them have the Target logo on them, they will not accept them.
