Free Pantry Makeover from Earth Fare

22 October 2009 392 views View Comments

earthfarepantryI know I mentioned the peanut butter exchange at Earth Fare earlier but then I got an email about their pantry makeover promotion. This is great stuff.

Here is how it works:

1. Go here to register for My Healthy Journey

2.Print out the coupon for a Free Pantry Makeover

3. Look through your pantry and pull out

  • Peanut butter with hydrogenated oil
  • Soda with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)
  • Cereal with HFCS
  • Salad dressing with HFCS or hydrogenated oil
  • Jelly with HFCS

4. Take your coupon and one of each of these items to the Customer Service desk at the Earth Fare near you and they will trade you for healthy Earth Fare Food.  (It even says it does not matter if it is full container or there is very little left!)

How great is that? I now have no excuse to not at least start experimenting with eating better. I am really excited about this deal. It is a convenient and inexpensive way to try come healthier food options.

So let me know what you trade in and how you like the replacement.

We traded in peanut butter yesterday, everyone tried it last night and we all agree….it's disgusting. My husband said “you gave up a jar of Skippy for this?” Oh well, live and learn and I thought we could try it. May try the other challenge as well, better talk to the husband first though.

    Rebecca-
Ha ha. THE HUSBAND wouldn't even try our peanut butter this morning.
I did the whole makeover yesterday and the raspberry jelly I got is wonderful. We also tried the salad dressing I got last night, it was good too. We have not yet tired the cereal but I may try that out on the boys first, THE HUSBAND is sort of a reluctant participant.

I would love to try the jelly but I don't have any store bought jelly in the house to trade in…I made all our own jellies this year from garden fruits and my husband really WOULD kill me if I thought about trading any of that in! I don't think that qualifies anyway.
