Lately I have received several questions about the abbreviations used in coupon match up post so, I thought it would be a good idea to rerun this post. If you are new to coupons and just figuring it all out welcome and keep emailing or leaving comments with questions!
The Coupon World has a whole language of its own. This was very confusing to me until I learned to speak it. So, here is a list of commonly used Couponing abbreviations that should help you.
- AC-After Coupons
- BC-Before Coupons
- B1G1F, B2G1F-”Buy one get one Free”, “Buy two get one Free”
- BOGOF-Buy one get one free
- BLINKIE-A machine that spits out coupons.
- CAT-Catalina coupon (Manufacturer coupons that print out from a little machine at the register, triggered by what you buy.)
- ECB-Extra Care Bucks (These are catalinas earned by buying specific products at CVS. They can be used like money on your next CVS purchase.)
- FAR-Free After Rebate
- GC-Gift Card
- MQ-Manufacturers Coupon
- OOP-Out of Pocket Expense
- POP-Proof of purchase (like a product label or UPC)
- Peelies-sticker like coupons found on products
- Q or CPN-Coupon
- RR- Register Reward (These can be earned by buying specific products atWalgreens. They can be used like money on your next Walgreens purchase.)
- RP- Red Plum (coupon insert in newspaper)
- SS-Smart Source (coupon insert)
- TEAR PAD- A pad of refund forms or coupons hanging on a shelf at the store.
- UPC-Universal product code (those black straight lines with numbers under them)
