I do not live in Knoxville but in Jacksboro, Tn. but I do work in Knoxville. I would like to see deals for Food City or Walmart, which is all I have here to shop at. I have always used coupons, but lately I ahve used them more often, I just want to be more savvy at it. Can you help?

Hey Katie, just saw your segment on WBIR and was wondering if you have ever visted:http://www.shop4freebies.com/. Hi Katie,
We are doing a bit of redecorating around the home, but wanted to go inexpensive. Walmart has some new window treatments from Better Homes and Gardens. I picked out 6 panels and inside the marked packages is a coupon for a free subscription to Better Homes and Gardens….but wait…obviously I was thinking of all my family members to sign up, but if you read the “fine print” it says you can return the coupon and write REFUND on it they will send you $6! So, I'm returning all my coupon cards for $36 and that really got the price down on my new drapes!

Do you have any suggestions on buying meats and produce? I'm new to the world of coupons but so far have not seen anything for items like this and it seems like this is where I spend most of my grocery money. I am 7 months pregnant, so I'm trying to eat as healthy as possible and use fresh ingredients when I cook, but would also like to get an handle on spending wisely before the baby comes. Any suggestions?

Just letting you know that when I used the Johnson's Buddies coupons at Food City, I got two more instant coupons for $3/3, so I went back and got three more today and another instant coupon for $3/3 printed out. I have absolutely hit the jackpot with Buddies soap! My son (and I) will be forever thankful to you!

Katie, Thank you so much for your local coupons, my husband is so tickled that I've found you! I get so excited for my coupon deals! But I wanted to ask you if you've ever visited a site called Ebates.com? It is the greatest. You get great deals, use any coupons that the participating stores may have out, and recieve a check from the Ebates site quarterly for the $ owed back to you according to whatever % the stores were offering back! It's almost too good to be true! But it's not; I've used it for years!

It's for eight o'clock coffee. Here lately the have coupons in the bag(get the one marked for a coupon) but all the bags can be logged in to Accumalate reward points. My mother told me about it and you can get rewards for drinking eight o'clock. Check it out and it might be something you'd like to add to the site here.

Hey Katie! You are amazing with all this stuff! You do some hard work and multitasking. I am amazed at how you stay so on top of things especially while having young kiddos. Good for you:) Anyway, you've got me hooked and following you every week but now I have piles of coupons. How do you keep yours organized?

  • couponkatie (author) said:

    Julia-

Thanks for checking out the site! There is a post on organizing coupons that
might help you. If you go to the top of the home page and click on “the
basics” one of the sub categories is organizing coupons. If that isn't
enough info I can answer more questions.
I currently use envelopes but am seriously considering a binder….

    Hey Katie!
Just wondering where you typically buy your toilet paper. I usually use a coupon on a small 4 pack, but we've been going through those so quickly that I've been wondering if I need to spend a little more and go for the “mega” type rolls. Just wondering if you have any suggestions.

I got the Knoxville paper today but no Red Plum! The insert preview I found says I should have gotten 3 inserts this week, but I only got 2. Could you confirm for me that I'm missing the RP or was the coupon insert preview list wrong?

I just finished shopping at Ingles in Karns. I was told that they are only accepting 2 printable internet coupons per order. They also will not accept buy one get one free manufactures coupons as well. There was nothing posted in the store about this policy. I will be a Kroger shopper now.

  • Jhatfield said:

This is probably a stupid questions but can I use manufacturers coupons anywhere even if I print them on a specific store's website. I printed a couple off of walgreens.com but they say manufacturers coupon on them. Walgreens.com is on the coupon, but I would like to use it a Walmart instead since that is where my shopping trip is today. Is that possible?

  • couponkatie (author) said:

IT depends on the store. Some stores will not take a coupon if it has
another store logo on it-even if it says manufacturers coupons. CVS seems to
be the best, Walgreens seems to be the worst. I would give it a try. If
Walmart takes it let me know!

Do you offer to send out daily emails of your deals?

  • Jennifer said:

I've had this same question before myself. When I have a manufacturer's coupon and it has a logo for Target or Kroger, I just cut that part of the coupon off to avoid any issue with the cashier if I want to use it elsewhere. I once had a Wal-Mart employee say that she couldn't take a Manufacturer's coupon because it had a small Kroger logo on it and at customer service, they clarified that the cashier was incorrect and gave me the coupon amount back in cash (on the same visit). If it is from the manufacturer and not labled “Kroger coupon” or “Target Coupon” etc., then it should be accepted anywhere at major stores. The little box on top next to the expiration date will clarify this.
